The Homeless Guy
I added a link, over to the right, that takes you to a blog of the homeless guy. His post on Christianity and the Bible from this weekend is pretty interesting. A good perspective to remember.
Sounds like this guy has had a bad and bitter experience with a mission....and maybe some "Christian folks". I am a Christian and I don't force my faith on anyone - nor do I "convert", manipulate or take advantage of others or their situations. I could do what I do to help others just out of the goodness of my heart - but I do what I do out of my love for God and His call for me to care for my fellow man - which then makes it not all about me - but all about them. I hope all we "Christians" don't get lumped into one - just as all that are homeless are not all alike either. Just wanted to put this out there to let others know there are many of us who serve the homeless who love the Lord and love the homeless and do not exploit or manipulate folks to have to believe what we do. Thanks for allowing me to say so and blessings to you!!!!!
